Dear Real Estate Stakeholders, Property Managers and Business Community Members,
The Village has welcomed the input received during the stakeholder meetings and the resulting dialogue to enhance the existing Short-term Residential Rental permitting process. To that end, this e-mail is being sent to all members whom have previously expressed interest in this issue or offered their information on previous sign-up sheets during those meetings. Progress has been made, and Village staff is confident that the revisions made to the original draft ordinance combined with internal monitoring and enforcement procedures and software enhancements will enable a more responsive system.
Therefore, the Village cordially invites you to attend the Planning Commission public hearing Tuesday, March 7th at 2:00 p.m. in the Village Hall Council Chamber – 313 Cree Meadows Drive – to consider recommendation of the attached revised draft ordinance to the Village Council. Please note that red font within the draft ordinance indicates revisions from the original November 8th public hearing version. Should the ordinance receive a favorable recommendation, a second public hearing would be scheduled before the Council for adoption, presumably in mid-May.
As a matter of clarification, the pending public hearing on the proposed ordinance will be held at the next Planning Commission meeting and not be considered at its meeting this Tuesday (tomorrow) February 7th as there was a discrepancy in the notification. Further minor revisions may occur and will be disseminated prior to the March 7th hearing via e-mail and posted on the Village website www.Ruidoso-NM.gov.
