January Membership Meeting Recap
Meeting was called at 9:10 with James Russ II opening with a quick note of him running for county commissioner, welcoming new members. He also promoted the conference coming up at the end of this month. Pioneer bank was then asked to give a quick talk about the services they offer for new customers needing a loan on residential, land and commercial properties and provided several handouts on new MFA programs. Pioneer also stated they can finance doublewides but no singlewides. They also brought to our attention to the services they provide for everyone. Pioneer also sponsored and paid for the breakfast off of the menu. We went over the flex change happening February 10, 2020 and to mark your calendars for this important event in our association. We still do not have a date of training for the flex conversion, but Deena will send out an email letting people know. There will be volunteers for flex super trainers, preferably one person from each office but we will take who ever would like to attend. It was also discussed the events taking place over the last couple of years with the affordable housing, and how the Village of Ruidoso has stepped back from the Wingfield location due to community out cry of that location. We encourage everyone to look at possible property locations and getting that information to Deena so that it can be given to the Village so that we can move forward arm and arm with the Village to solve the problem of housing for the workers in Ruidoso and surrounding areas. We finished out the meeting by having brokers talk about their properties that they have on the market. The floor was opened to the agents for random discussions about happenings around Ruidoso. We also discussed safety due to a stalker following agents around in TX and to be careful when showing property.
