The Community Foundation of Lincoln County hosts many funds with local focus. One such fund is called The Shelter Fund. This was established after Little Bear Fire in 2012 to give temporary assistance to those displaced from their primary residence by fire. Grants have generally ranged from $1,000 to $1500 to pay for temporary housing or begin repairs.
On account of the pandemic The Shelter Fund has now expanded its focus for eligibility to help those in need with assistance to pay rent or mortgage. The application is very simple. "Date of Incident" may simply be "2020 pandemic"
The intention is to give a bit of help to locals that may be in a pinch this summer as the world gets back on track to some kind of new normal. Please do share this with your tenants and friends.
