Damage Assessment

The REACH Survey (Ruidoso Emergency Assessment & Community Help) will collect information from individuals and businesses affected by disasters. It is a crucial first step in the disaster recovery process.

By submitting a damage report, you help the Village of Ruidoso: Assess community-wide impacts, advocate for State and Federal disaster assistance, coordinate cleanup and recovery efforts, and identify needs for shelter, supplies, or public health services.

How You Can Help

The Community Foundation for Lincoln County has created a Shelter Fund which was established to assist members of the community who have experienced hardship due to unforeseen disasters such as fire or flooding. Intended to help those who suddenly find themselves without shelter, funds are generally granted for specific cases of need, and recipients are identified at the discretion of the CFLC Board of Directors on a year-round basis.

Please consider making a donation to The Community Foundation of Lincoln County. 100% of your donation (less PayPal fees) will stay in Lincoln County, NM and help residents of Lincoln County. You may make checks out to CFLC and mail to PO Box 2750, Ruidoso, NM 88355.

If you would like to apply for funding, click on the button below to download an application, then submit it to cflcnm@gmail.com and contact one of the CFLC board members (click here for a list) to ensure they are aware of your situation as soon as possible.

Due to the outpouring generosity from the community the Village of Ruidoso is no longer able to accept donations of physical items, food, water, clothing or non-perishables. There's no more room! If you’d like to make a monetary donation or are in need of assistance, please contact the Ruidoso Valley Chamber of Commerce at 575-257-7395. They are coordinating information regarding specific accounts and funds to support our community.

Ready, Set, Go! New Mexico

The Ready, Set, Go! Program provides the tools and guidance necessary for local fire departments to deliver the wildland fire safety message to their residents. This new video helps fire departments deliver this message to the Spanish speaking communities they serve. The RSG Program is a three-step process that teaches homeowners to create their own action plan of preparedness; have situational awareness when a fire starts; and to be aware of their local evacuation protocols, knowing that by leaving early in the event of a fire, they play a positive role by significantly increasing the their own safety and that of responding firefighters. Visit their website.
