The REALTOR® of the Year Award is conferred annually in recognition of an active member in good standing of the Ruidoso/Lincoln County Association of REALTORS® who has provided outstanding service to his or her profession and the community.  Candidate consideration will be based on overall contributions as well as current year participation.  Click here for guidelines and nominee qualifications.  To be considered for this award, RLCAR members must be nominated by their peers and selected by the ROTY Committee — which is a panel made up of past ROTY winners.

Nominations for REALTOR® of the year opens the first of October with nominations being due by October 24th of each year. The ROTY committee will review all submitted nominations and will name one or no recipient.

The Ruidoso/Lincoln County Association of REALTORS®, REALTOR® of the year Committee will use the following six standards when selecting the REALTOR® of the Year:  
 

1. REALTOR® Spirit - High principles, faithfulness to laws and regulations of the Code of Ethics and local board, and furtherance of principles of good real estate practice among brokers, salespersons, and the general public

2. Civic Activity - Participation in civic and service clubs, charitable activities, political commissions, fraternal or religious groups, etc.

3. Business Accomplishments - Recognized good business conduct, service to clients, imaginative and creative advertising programs, rehabilitation work, land utilizations, etc.

4. Local Association Activity - Board offices or committee work.  Special assignments, seminar activity and education work.

5. State Association Activity - Offices held and committee work, attendance and participation at state conventions, directors’ meetings, educational conferences, etc.

6. National Association Activity - National Offices and committee work, membership and work in the Institutes, Societies and Councils, attendance at national conventions, etc.

 

The announcement is more dramatic if the name of the winner is kept secret

until the presentation at an Awards & Installation Banquet
