Housing Fair

The Village of Ruidoso and the Ruidoso/Lincoln County Association of REALTORS® are excited to announce the first annual Housing Fair!

This event scheduled for September 7, 2019 at the Ruidoso Convention Center will introduce people to the advantages of owning a home and help them realize just how easy it is!

Having the means to purchase a house can be challenging enough. To add the complexities of financing and furnishing, upkeep and utilities only adds to the challenge.

The The Village of Ruidoso and the Ruidoso/Lincoln County Association of REALTORS® is helping make the process easier.

The 2019 Regional Housing Fair, will be at the Ruidoso Convention Center Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Fair focuses on Affordable Housing options, including paths to home ownership and making the most of your real estate investment. Representatives from local businesses and non-profits will be on site to provide information about affordable housing and financing options.

Admission is free. The Fair is family friendly with two bounce houses onsite, along with a magician, clown and free hamburgers and hot dogs.

A variety of resources:

Financial. Lending agencies will be represented, with emphasis on financial literacy and credit counseling.
Affordable Housing. REALTORS with affordable listings.
Home improvement. A number of companies who specialize in home repair and materials will have a presence.
For the elderly. There is a challenge of “aging in place,” and how the elderly may deal with that, or with other options.
Government assistance. Multiple federal and state-funded programs are available to assist buyers and homeowners, including access to renovation loans.

Various seminars and panel discussions are participant-friendly and a generous amount of literature will be provided to fair-goers for their specific needs.
